Vacation

Well what a whirlwind of wonderfulness in the wet humid south. I am enjoying my stint in Arkansas.

A week in Florida. We saw 2 of my dad's sisters and some of their kids and grandkids. All the highlights involve Kade and his cute little voice, or visiting with family. We stopped at my Grandpa's house and that was fun. We also stopped at my cousins in Alabama Lamond and Rachel. They are always so welcoming and boy can Rachel cook?! Oh wee. Homemade seedless blackberry jam. ..need I say more?

Since being home I have seen a few people who are leaving on vacation themselves so I was excited to be able to do that. I went to a wedding reception for a good friend Angela and Karl Smith. She looked so cute. I got to see a lot of people there. Spent that day in and around Rose Bud, AR. I loved driving around the old high school stomping grounds. I forgot how beautiful it is here. A different kind of beauty than Alaska but still beautiful. Stopped to see Grandma and Grandpa Sherwood. That was good. He is still the same. It was good to see her taking it easy.

Stake Conference (all the LDS congregations in the central ar area all meet together) is this weekend so I will get to see lots of friends and their kids on Sunday. This is always fun and a smidge hard. I want so much to be with someone and to make a family and be the wife and mom I know I can be. I am happy for them and anxiously await my turn. I am so blessed and feel bad sometimes asking/wanting more. But "more" is connected to my progression and I am ready to move onward.

Well I am going to run wanted to get a few highlights down.

Oh on our Florida trip I took some of momma's old journals for her to read to us and they were really good. I have no idea how she kept up with a journal during all her moves and little ones, but I am sure glad she did. She is such an amazing example to me. I hope that I will be able to half the woman she is. She was always expressig grattitude for her blessings and acknowledging her faults and trying to make her marriage and family better. She has been a superb mother. I need to do better with my journal. Between it and this blog. I should have a decent documentation of my life.

I am missing the temple and a certain fella... man relationsips are hard..when do you have those akward conversations about feelings that are growing? I feel really blessed that we have been able to communicate daily since I have been gone and I really really enjoy that. It always makes me feel special and brings a goofy smile to my face. Thanks.

Katie - I'm embarrassed to say that I never visited your blog after you gave me your url address, but I saw your email today from last April and noticed the blog address. You look great, and I enjoyed reading a lot of your text, and looking at all the pictures. I'm in the process of putting a blog together, and I'll be sure to invite you to view it. Take care.
